Privacy
This site does not intentionally request child-identifying information. Do not submit child names, child emails, birth dates, school information, addresses, photographs, recordings, work samples or other identifying child information.
This site is intended for adults. Spelling Next Step is a product concept, not a usable product.
Information collection
Beta applications and the objection survey collect only the following categories:
- Adult applicant email
- Structured beta application responses
- Structured objection-survey responses
- Pseudonymous website analytics
- Referral and UTM information
Purposes
Evaluate demand, identify suitable beta participants, contact applicants about beta participation, communicate whether the product launches, and understand acquisition channels and experiment performance. Future beta and launch-status communication requires stored consent; no email-delivery provider is currently integrated.
Analytics and cookies
The site uses signed anonymous visitor and session cookies to retain pseudonymous identity, stated-price context, internal-traffic status and referral information. Referrer paths and query strings are discarded. Do not put identifying information in UTM tags.
When explicitly configured, PostHog receives only manually captured pseudonymous events and allowlisted referral information. Session replay and autocapture are disabled; automated browser/crawler traffic is suppressed. Client IP data is discarded and GeoIP enrichment and person-profile processing are disabled.
Applicant email is not sent to behavioral analytics. Arbitrary free text and form contents will not be sent to behavioral analytics.
Service providers
- Netlify: website hosting and first-party database
- PostHog: pseudonymous website analytics
Retention
Data is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the C004 beta/launch decision and related consented communication.
